The route drives north past fields, rivers, Shkodra Lake and mountains, changing to local transport in Shkodër around 07:30. Climb to Qafë Thorë at 1,700 m for a sweeping view of the Albanian Alps, then visit Theth’s Old Church and Lock-in Tower. Around midday, hike to the Blue Eye through mountain and forest scenery. The route is roughly 6.2 km round trip, about 700 m of elevation gain and around 1.5 hours each way. It is rated easy to moderate but requires some hiking experience; the water is around 5°C.
